SYCA — Sell Your Car Australia

How it works

The whole thing, start to finish, with nothing held back for later.

One form, one call, one visit, and the money in your account the same day. If a stage of this could go differently, it is written down here rather than explained to you in your driveway.

  • We come to the car, in any state
  • Your details go to us, and nobody else
  1. One

You tell us about the car

The rego, the make and model, roughly what it has done, and anything you already know is wrong with it. That last part is the one that matters most, and it is the one most sites do not bother asking.

It takes about two minutes. There are no photos to take, no VIN to go and find, and no account to create. Your name and number are the last thing asked, not the first — so nothing is sent anywhere until you decide it is.

  2. Two

You get a number and a phone call

Not an automated text with a range in it. A person rings you, tells you what we expect to pay and how they got there, and answers whatever you want to ask — including the awkward ones.

If the car is not one we can use, you hear that on this call. A straight no today is worth a great deal more to you than a maybe that goes quiet for a week.

  3. Three

    We come to the car

At your place, at a time you pick, in any state. Usually half an hour, including a road test and photographs — a straightforward late-model car can be quicker than that.

You are welcome to stand there and ask what we are looking at, and plenty of people do. Or put the kettle on and carry on with your morning. The person who turns up is a buyer rather than a photographer: they can answer for the number and they can sign for it on the spot.

  4. Four

The estimate becomes a firm offer

Once the car has been seen, the number becomes a real offer at the figure written on it. Nothing counts down and nothing shrinks while you think about it — a price that drops each day you delay is a pressure tactic wearing a price tag, and it is not how we do business.

If it differs from the estimate, we show you which published line it came from and the photograph that goes with it. You are free to say no and keep the car, and nobody here does better out of talking you down.

  5. Five

    Paperwork, money, then the car

The contract is signed at the car and your copy is in your email within minutes. Transfer paperwork is done with you standing there rather than posted to you afterwards, and the safety certificate is our job rather than yours.

The money is confirmed before the car leaves, and it is with you the same day you sign. Finance owing is completely normal and it does not stop a sale — we will walk you through exactly how the payout works on the call, before you commit to anything.

The practical bits

Times, places and who actually turns up.

Who rings

SYCA's own buying team, not a call centre and not a chatbot. The same small group every time, and they are the people who decide the number. Expect to hear from us — usually within the hour, in buying hours, and first thing the next working morning outside them.

When

Monday to Friday, 8am – 6pm. Saturday, 9am – 2pm. (AEST) Send the car through whenever suits — the form does not keep office hours. Or just ring us on 0477 636 137.

Where

Every state, across the cities and the regional centres. If the car is somewhere genuinely remote, say so on the call and we will work out how we get to it — that is a conversation, not a no.
